That Game Is (TGI) is a dynamic and growing gaming community dedicated to providing authentic reviews, news, and insights from a gamer’s perspective. Our goal is to create an interactive platform where every gamer can contribute, connect, and stay informed. As we continue to expand, we’re seeking an Operations Manager to help build the foundation for future growth.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive individual to take on the role of Operations Manager at TGI. As a volunteer position, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the development of our site and community. You will work directly with our Founder, Pete, to oversee and manage our website infrastructure, internal systems, and daily operations, helping us streamline our processes and ensuring a seamless user experience for our growing community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Website & Infrastructure: Ensure the website, DNS, and internal systems are fully operational, secure, and performing optimally.
- Day-to-Day Operations: Assist in the daily operations of the site, including troubleshooting, managing content uploads, and ensuring that all systems are running smoothly.
- Team Expansion & Management: Assist in growing and managing the TGI team by helping to onboard new volunteers, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring that team members have the resources and support they need.
- Content Promotion: Work with the content team to promote articles, reviews, and news across multiple platforms and social media channels to increase visibility and community engagement.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in operational efficiency and suggest changes to help scale and optimize the workflow of the site.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience managing website infrastructure, DNS, or technical systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and website performance tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with the gaming industry and the TGI mission is an advantage.
